EBPB online provides the resources of the Bison Pedigree Book, collected for almost a hundred years and published regularly in paper form. The book contains information about all wisents with known pedigrees, which are found in enclosures all over the world and about the number of free-living populations. Since 1991, the editors of the book have been working within the structures of the Białowieża National Park, on the website of which you can find more information about the European Bison Pedigree Book .

The current version of the EBPB online application is the so-called beta version, which we provide for testing in order to verify the completeness and correctness of data and to detect application errors. We ask all users to submit their comments to the Editorial Office of the European Bison Pedigree Book at [email protected] . We also remind you that the only official source of information about the bison's pedigrees are the editions of the Book available on Białowieża National Park website.
